Originally pushed from October to November and now postponed until the spring, we wonder if the golden gates of the future Topshop Soho will ever open. Rumors of another push-back had been swirling ever since the initial date revision, but final confirmation elicited a moaning wail from the legions of fashion editors, British ex-pats, and fans of Kate Moss's collection, who were no doubt hoping the brand's trend-driven-yet-wallet-friendly pieces could provide a stand-in for the $500 boots no one in the city can afford with all our financial woes. Apparently, construction and contractor issues stateside are to blame for the delay (tell us about it, we feel like the bathroom in our Tribeca penthouse will NEVER be ready), though we also suspect Peaches Geldof is somehow responsible. While the megastore will miss out on the lucrative holiday shopping season (we can practically hear Sir Philip Green's teeth grinding), but for now, fans will have to be satisfied with Topshop's just-launched U.S. e-commerce site here.
