Now if only we could pronounce this Greenpoint bar's name. Luckily, after sampling Brouwerij's suds, the slurring helps.

Brouwerij Lane -- Dutch for Brewery Lane -- wants you to know it is very serious about beer.
The new Greenpoint bar doesn't pretend to be the Ultimate Beer Destination and then punk out with a half dozen pseudo-novelty bottles moldering behind the counter. Nooo.
Brouwerij Lane stocks 400 exotic brews. Okay, some aren't so exotic (it's always nice to be able to find dependable NY microbrews like Sixpoint at your local, though, right?), but most truly are -- Thrillist called out "Polish and Germans (Warka, Zywiec, Malheur champagne-beer)," "Belgian brands like Tripel Karmeliet and Pauwel Kwak," plus stuff you almost never find on tap around these parts, like Jever Dark or Gaffel Kolsch.
Swing by for a swig, or save up your hoppy cravings for this Saturday, when Brouwerij Lane's official grand opening party hits and they'll be serving up free samples from this staggering variety of suds. 78 Greenpoint Avenue, Greenpoint; no phone yet
