8 Crazy Nights: Yo La Tengo Hanukkah Shows Are On!

Tickets go on sale Wednesday at noon

After a year's hiatus for touring, Yo La Tengo will be back once this holiday season for eight nights of Hanukkah musical mishegoss at Maxwell's.

The annual holiday tradition of eight straight nights of music, comedy and special guests was cancelled last year as the band toured in support of their "Popular Songs" album.

But the festival of lights will burn bright once again at Maxwell's from December 1 to December 8.

"Due to circumstances within our control, we are only now letting you know that come Hanukkah 2010, we will once again grace the stage of Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ for all eight nights," the band wrote in an email to fans today.  "We don't know that  much about what will take place, and what we do know we're not saying, except that each night will feature a musical act and a comedic act and a set by us. If history has taught us anything, it's that these evenings will be unique."

Tickets go on sale noon Wednesday at Other Music and on Ticketfly.   You don't want to miss it.
