MORGAN TO LOVE: Oftentimes, when we used to hear Tracy Morgan speak on “30 Rock”, we wondered if he was that insane (in a good way) in real life. And then when he made his Emmy speech about being “the face of post-racial America”, we knew our instincts were correct – and that we wanted to go drinking with him. We’ll have to settle for seeing his live stand-up show, “Tracy Morgan’s Hard-Knock Life” at the New York Comedy Festival tonight at Carnegie Hall. 8PM.

SMORGASBORD: Kicking off today and running all weekend is the third annual Cook. Eat. Drink. Live. food show, which has nothing to do with “Eat. Pray. Love.” despite the eerily similar title. The huge event is something of a gourment-NYC free-for-all showcasing new food products, celebrity chefs (Bill Telepan!) and just plain celebrities (Ted Allen?), wineries, cocktails, cookbook authors, mixologists, and more. Once you’ve stuffed your face with tastings, get your holiday shopping done early. 11/6-8, The Tunnel/La.Venue. Schedule varies.

FOUR PLAY: Dave Jay’s one-man Beatles extravaganza "johnpaulgeorgeringo" is no dinner-carabet trifle: The interactive improv project – where audience members are invited to interview any Beatle, as Jay combines exhaustive Fab Four knowledge with pitch-perfect impressions to answer -- won Outstanding Solo Show at the NY International Fringe Festival. Tonight's the very last chance to catch the show in 2009. And: Tickets are $20, but cheap-fun-in-NYC website the skint notes that if you mention them, you’ll get in free.13th Street Repertory Co., 7PM.
