10/8: Peek Into David Duchovny's Bedroom

A bedroom inspired by his “Californication,” that is. Plus, Chelsea Market After Dark

MI CASA: Come and snoop around the buzzy, 8,500-square-foot Metropolitan Home Showtime House in Tribeca tonight: hand-picked interior designers have each created a room based on one of the cable net’s shows, which means you’ll get to lounge chez “Weeds,” time-travel with “The Tudors” and experience the eerie normalcy of casa “Dexter.” A silent auction of goods from Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and more follows, and proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, which provides housing for patients. 7PM.

PROJECTING: The Cinema 16 series pairs obscure vintage film footage with live scores by contemporary musicians to recreate the experience and awe of the 1920s silent film era. Tonight’s installment takes place at the gorgeous, storied Players Club on Gramercy Park – sip complimentary cocktails as you take in snippets by the likes of Busby Berkeley and Sergei Eisenstein, all set to music from experimental performance artist-musicians Joseph Keckler and Dan Bartfield. 8PM.

NIGHT CRAWLERS: Today marks the kickoff of the NYC Wine & Food Festival, and what better way to spend the evening than trawling the Chelsea Market After Dark? It’s like trick-or-treating for grown-up foodies: Market stalwarts like Amy’s Bread, the Chelsea Wine Vault, Fat Witch Bakery, The Lobster Place and others will have tasting stations serving special small dishes and pours, as live music provides the soundtrack. Guy Fieri and Sandra Lee of the Food Network – another Chelsea Market resident – preside. 9PM.
