This week there will be a few ways to honor the legendary Michael Jackson around New York City.

Millions of viewers will tune in to watch Michael Jackson’s official tribute at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, set for 1 p.m. EDT. You can watch the event live here at NBCNewYork.com

You can watch the event at two local theaters -- the Chelsea Clearview Cinemas and the Pavillion in Park Slope.

If you want to continue to honor the legend through the night, head out  Wednesday to the BAD Bash Michael Jackson Tribute Party at Whiskey River at 575 2nd Ave. Guests are encouraged to pull out their white gloves and moonwalking shoes and dress up MJ attire for free beer. The best costume wins a $100 bar tab. There will also be dance-off for the best thriller performance. No cover.

What better way to end the Michael Jackson festival than a King of Pop Pub Crawl at The Village Pourhouse, 64 Third Avenue at 11th Street. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.? There will be drink specials all day and the best of MJ blasting from the speakers. The night will close with every Michael in the house doing thriller. Attire: MJ.

Visit the  Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station to reminisce on Jackson’s 1987 music video, ‘Bad.’  At the Harlem State Office Building on 125th and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., screens will be set up outside for people to watch the tribute.
