Sure, the chill of fall is still just getting started, but if you're one of those who prefers summer, here's a reason to think warm.


The Public Theater has already given the briefest tease for its Shakespeare in the Park series. One of the two 2009 plays will be Euripides’ “The Bacchae" according to the Public Theater's website. The Greek tragedy deals with rationalism and religion,
“The Bacchae” was staged this past summer with Alan Cumming as part of the Lincoln Center Festival.


No other details for Shakespeare in the Park have been revealed, such as casting or dates. But you can bet the tickets will again be free all summer.
